A review document, not just a chart
Auditors and quality managers rarely ask for a dashboard. They ask which units left their range, for how long, by how much, and who reviewed it. The template answers those questions on paper for a whole fleet of monitored devices. Scheduling, delivery and output formats work like in any other Report Builder report.

Cold Chain Monitoring Table
Every fridge graded at a glance
The table evaluates each selected device, or each group from your device hierarchy, against the configured targets and marks the result green, yellow or red. A legend below the table documents the thresholds the grades are based on, so the report explains itself.
- In Range: share of covered time inside the target range
- Longest Excursion, with its time window and a critical-from duration
- Min/Max readings, coloured when they leave the range
- Coverage: how completely the metric was recorded
- Optional battery column and serial number or location per device
Cold Chain Excursion List
Each excursion as its own record
Where the table summarizes, the excursion list details. Every excursion that lasts longer than your minimum duration is listed separately, with fields to document how it was assessed and what happened to the affected goods.
- Temperature or humidity, against your own target range
- Minimum duration filter, 30 minutes by default
- Exposure in °C·h: how far and how long outside the range
- Review fields: assessment outcome, disposition and record reference
- Signer name, sign date and signature per excursion
Sign-Off
A signature block for the final approval
The sign-off widget closes the printed PDF with a simple approval block. The responsible person confirms that the report, the device status and the recorded excursions have been reviewed.
- Title can be changed from the default “Approved by”
- Reviewer name, date and time
- Space for a handwritten signature
Settings that make the numbers defensible
Target Range
Minimum and maximum acceptable values. The template starts at 2 °C to 8 °C; set whatever your products require.
Sample Validity
How long one reading stays valid. After that, time counts as missing data instead of continuing the last value, which affects both coverage and excursions.
Look-Around Window
Lets the calculation inspect data before and after the report period, so an excursion that started earlier or ends later is not cut short.
Configurable Thresholds
Time in range warns below 99 % and turns critical below 95 %; coverage warns below 98 % and turns critical below 90 %. All four defaults can be changed.
Grouped or Per Device
Show one row per device, one row per group, or groups with their devices underneath, based on the report's device hierarchy.
Tolerance for Short Excursions
The critical-from duration decides when a single excursion makes a row non-compliant. Shorter excursions are still shown but do not change the grade.
A review workflow in six steps
1. Confirm the scope
Check the report period, the included devices, the device hierarchy and the output format.
2. Verify the targets
Make sure target ranges and sample validity are right for every monitored metric.
3. Read the fleet view
Use the fleet KPIs and the chart to spot broad temperature trends.
4. Scan the status table
Identify rows marked as warning or critical, and rows with poor coverage.
5. Assess each excursion
Look at duration, peak, exposure and the surrounding data for every listed event.
6. Document and sign off
Record outcome, disposition and reference per excursion, then complete the final sign-off.
