I currently feed Ubidots from TTN or TTS. Does my LoRaWAN setup change?

The TTN / TTS account becomes optional. Datacake includes its own LoRaWAN Network Server, so the gateway re-points to Datacake's MQTT bridge and the device is registered with the same DevEUI, JoinEUI/AppEUI and AppKey it already carries. No firmware re-flash, no on-site visit. Once the uplinks are arriving on Datacake you can decommission the TTN / TTS application at your own pace.

How do I bring my Ubidots dashboards over?

Most popular hardware is covered by a Datacake template that ships with a default dashboard, so you usually do not have to recreate from scratch. For custom hardware the dashboard editor can replicate widget-by-widget; the data model is similar enough that the mapping is straightforward.

What about Ubidots synthetic variables?

Datacake supports computed fields per device that play the same role: derived measurements, unit conversions and rolling aggregates. Simple synthetic-variable expressions translate directly; multi-step pipelines may require splitting across a couple of fields.

Does Datacake support the same alert channels as Ubidots Events?

Yes. Email, SMS, webhook and push are all supported, plus rule-level escalation chains so the right person gets the right alert. For Slack / Microsoft Teams, the standard pattern is webhook into the channel inbound URL.

Will my non-LoRaWAN devices that publish into Ubidots over MQTT keep working?

Yes. Datacake exposes per-device MQTTS and HTTPS endpoints that accept the same shape of payload Ubidots accepts today. The migration is typically a broker hostname swap and a credential rotation; the JSON body emitted by the device firmware does not need to change. Downstream consumers reading from your existing event bus only see the source endpoint move.
